Synopsis

Raised in New Jersey on the shore, TJ began reading romance novels at the age of fourteen when she picked up Elda Minger’s The Dare. From that day forward she hasn’t stopped reading romance novels of all subgenres. While focusing on her career working in a corporate office and reading at night TJ somehow found herself married and pregnant when she paused to breathe between novels. After being laid off and giving birth to her son, she threw herself into being a stay at home mom. One month her husband was very upset at her for spending forty dollars on books when she became “one click” happy, later that evening when doing the math she realized she spent FOUR HUNDRED dollars on books, silly husband somehow dropped a zero. Destroying the evidence since she was already placed on book probation, TJ decided to think of ways to curb her purchasing. The only way that would satisfy her active mind seemed to be exercising it by writing her own stories. A story turned into a novel, and a novel into a series. During the day TJ focuses on her household that is overrun with testosterone; one beefcake husband, one son that takes after beefcake husband, and two male dogs. Review

I'm not able to put my full review up, as the first portion contains spoilers, so my review starts in the middle. 
....what happens next is a whirlwind love affair that has you laughing, crying, raging, and sighing throughout the book. T.J. Tims captures your attention with intrigue, mystery, heartbreak, and laughter. At times I wanted to throw my tablet through the wall, while at other times I wanted to crawl through it and give both characters a big squeeze. There were a ton of “Oh shit, I didn’t see that coming!” moments. I mean seriously, I can’t tell you how many times I was totally shocked by the events that were happening. The passion between Luc and Gen was scorching hot and made me want to find my own significant other to relieve the pressure ;) 
I feel I have to reiterate the laughter part. I seriously have never laughed so hard while reading a book! This was absolutely an all-of-a-sudden-you-bust-out-laughing-book. There were several times I got strange faces from my husband. It was a back-to-back laughter fest throughout the book! There were several times I had to put my tablet down because I was laughing so hard. 
I have to mention the side characters in my review because, well, they played their part so well that they deserved to be mentioned. I won’t go into names but I will say that each and every side character holds a place in my heart, some more than others. They all complimented each other and brought even more life to the book, not to mention they were all hilarious! They are, in part, what makes this book so good. I so look forward to reading each and every one of their stories.
I’m going to close this review by saying there is no way that I gave this book the justice it deserves. I can not recommend this book enough. T.J. Tims created a beautiful world based on family and friendship. It was extremely hard to put it down and I was terribly sad that it ended. This book will forever be implanted on my favorite shelf. It is a definite must read for everyone! I give More Than I Asked For 5 astounding, hot, and hilarious stars!
